The Journey of Rice - Inside the Kkhavo Milling Process

At Kkhavo, milling means pure, traditional Kala Namak rice.

At Kkhavo, the milling of Kala Namak rice is more than just a mechanical process — it’s a commitment to tradition, hygiene, and purity.

We begin with cleaning, where paddy is separated from dust, husk, stones, and other impurities using advanced pre-cleaners and destoners. Next is dehusking, a gentle process that removes the husk without damaging the grain. Then comes polishing, done carefully to retain the natural aroma of the GI-tagged Kala Namak rice. Finally, the rice is graded, sorted, and packed in food-safe packaging.

Our state-of-the-art milling plant uses minimal human intervention, reducing contamination risk and preserving grain quality. Every grain that leaves our unit reflects consistency, flavor, and trust.
