Description
Rinse basmati rice and soak for 20 minutes, then drain.
Heat ghee/oil in a pan, add whole spices (cumin, bay leaf, cloves, cardamom).
Add chopped onions, sauté until golden brown.
Mix in ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
Add chopped vegetables like carrots, peas, beans, and potatoes.
Add soaked rice and sauté gently for 1–2 minutes.
Pour in water (1:2 ratio), add salt, and cover to cook.
Fluff gently and serve hot with raita or curry.
